Warrior GPP Summer Bootcamp

Starting November 5th – 12 sessions over 4 weeks

Join us for our very last GPP Course for the year! Our Summer Bootcamp is guaranteed to get you fit for summer. Whether you are focusing on your fitness for grading, the upcoming world champs trials, or just to improve your health and fitness in general – Summer Bootcamp is suitable for all ages, abilities and fitness levels. All workouts have a strong emphasis on technique, are scalable to suite your currently ability and most of all are FUN. Workout with a great group of people and experienced and motivating coached!

GPP stands for General Physical Preparedness and is a great strength & conditioning program to supplement your sport specific Taekwon-Do training. Warrior are an official supplier to ITKD who endorse our program for Taekwon-Do athletes to improve their fitness, prevent injury and be better, fitter, faster and stronger in general!

Normally the cost per class for GPP training is $15 / session but seeing as this is our very last course, we are offering it at only $10 per session, that's a huge saving of over 30%. Be sure to take advantage of this special offer – never to be repeated!

Each session is 1 hour long. During this hour the format is a warm-up, technical focus on a skill or building of strength, a fun but challenging individual / partner or team workout. Your coaches are certified and experienced in teach movements including olympic weightlifting, gymnastics and athletics. We use medicine balls, kettlebells, barbells, pull up structures, boxes, rings and more! Every session is different which will keep you interested and motivating. The coaches are on hand to teach and motivate you every step of the way and able to provide you with nutritional advice and body composition measures to supplement your training and help you achieve your fitness goals.

Bio of Jeremy Hanna

Jeremy has competed and achieved outstanding results at several World Championships including both as a junior and senior competitor, including representing NZ in Honduras (2006), Canada (2007), Italy (2008), Argentina (2009) and most recently winning 3rd Degree patterns at the World Champs in NZ (2011).

He is a full time postgraduate student of illustration and design at AUT and part time CrossFit Strength & Conditioning Coach at Warrior and CrossFit East Auckland. He also has years of experience coaching Taekwon-Do. He is not only a talented athlete, but has an amazing eye for correcting human movement which makes him a great coach.

Bio of Carolina Dillen

Carolina is the Head Instructor of Warrior Taekwon-Do Club, recently awarded Best Club for 2012. She has represent NZ at 4 ITF World Championships (2003, 2007, 2009, 2011) and one World Cup (2008) winning medals at each event and consecutive Gold Medals at the last 2 World Champs and World Cup. She has also been the University of Auckland Sports Women of the Year and inducted into the NZ Martial Arts Hall of Fame as a Young Achiever and was this year the winner of ITKD Instructor of the Year Award.

Carolina is a full time Taekwon-Do and CrossFit Strength & Conditioning Coach. She has previously worked at the University of Auckland as the Health and Performance Clinics Manager (Exercise Rehab, Cardiac Rehab and High Performance clinics). She also has a strong academic background with degrees in Physiology, Sport and Exercise Science and postgraduate studies in Movement Neuroscience.

Bio of Roisin Giles

Roisin is currently a 1st Gup in Taekwon-Do with her sights set on grading to black belt early next year and making the 2012 World Champs team. This year she came 1st in senior female 2nd-1st gup patterns, and 1st in colour belt team patterns at the Auckland North Regionals, as well as 2nd in senior female 2nd-1st gup patterns, and 2nd in team patterns at the ITKD National Championships.

She has a background in gymnastics with 5 years experience coaching recreational and competitive levels at Tri-star gymnastics. She has been involved in coaching and training in martial arts for over 10 years, including Karate (II Dan), Kickboxing, as well as Taekwon-Do. She also regularly competes in Olympic weightlifting and CrossFit competitions. She is currently studying for a Bachelors of science majoring in physiology at the University of Auckland.
